Budget Tracker

This policy explains what information the Budget Tracker app (“the app”), provided by Anna Cardoso (“we”), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built the app to be private by default: your financial data is yours, and we do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything other than running the app for you.

Information we collect

• Account details. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a secure one-way hash — we never see your actual password).
• The data you enter. The income, expenses, and budget figures you type into the app. This is stored so it can sync across your devices.

How we use your information

• To provide the core features: saving your budget and syncing it across your devices.
• To authenticate you (sign-in, email confirmation, password reset).

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app. We never sell your data.

Where your data is stored & how it’s protected

Your account and data are stored using Supabase (a hosted PostgreSQL database and authentication service) on your behalf. Access is protected by row-level security: each account can only ever read or write its own data — no other user, and no one holding the app’s public key, can access it. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

Third-party services (data processors)

• Supabase — stores your account and budget data and handles sign-in.

This provider processes data solely to deliver the app’s functionality and is bound by its own privacy and security terms.

Your rights and choices

• Access. Your data is visible in the app at any time.
• Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time (Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Correct your data. You can edit or remove any entry directly in the app.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
