This policy explains what information Tradeology (“the app”), provided by Anna Cardoso (“we”), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. You can use the app without an account – your learning progress then stays on your device.
Information we collect
Learning progress (on your device). Lessons completed, quiz results, XP, your streak, and your settings are saved on your device so the app remembers where you are.
Account details (optional). If you create an account to sync your progress across devices, we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a secure one-way hash – we never see your actual password). Tradeology uses the same FinanceLog account as our P&L and Budget apps.
Synced progress (only with an account). Your learning progress and chosen avatar are stored with your account so they sync across your devices.
Profile photo (optional). If you choose to upload your own photo as your avatar, it is shrunk to a small image and stored with your account. It is used only to show your avatar in the app, and you can remove it at any time in Settings.
Purchases. Tradeology Pro is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details – Apple or Google handle the payment and tell the app only whether your subscription is active.
We do not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers for tracking, or any analytics or behavioral data. The app contains no advertising and no third-party trackers.
How we use your information
To save your learning progress and, if you have an account, sync it across your devices.
To authenticate you (sign-in, email confirmation, password reset).
To unlock Tradeology Pro when your subscription is active, and to apply the quiz discount you have earned.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app. We never sell your data.
Where your data is stored & how it’s protected
Accounts and synced progress are stored using Supabase (a hosted database and authentication service) on your behalf. Access is protected by row-level security: each account can only ever read or write its own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
Third-party services
Supabase – stores accounts and synced progress and handles sign-in.
Apple App Store / Google Play – process subscription purchases under their own privacy policies.
Your rights and choices
No account needed. Every free lesson works without signing in.
Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time (Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Remove your photo. Settings → Avatar → Remove photo.
Subscriptions. Cancel or manage Pro in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems. Progress saved only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
